we decide to book at Virginian becayse of the jacuzzi room. After travelling 2 weeks by car that was heaven.
yes was disappointed that the restaurant was not open for dinner
There was a big grassy area that we could play with our grandson - soccer ball. The three beds was great. It was quiet.
Beautiful View, nice lobby, lovely staff.
Poor WiFi in room, no refridgerator or microwave in room.
A good deal for a one night stay in a pricey location.
No coffee pot, no iron or ironing board.
No fridge. No tea or coffee making facilities in room. Water was hot and cold and affected by other peoples showers. I.e very difficult to get it to stay at a certain temperature. Basically an expensive motel due to it's location.
For the money, we had a huge room. We stayed 3 nights, so it was nice to have lots of space! The cleaning service did a great job. Liked the vanity seperate from the toilet and shower! We liked to be able to park close to our room! Great location, just a little out of the way of the hustle and bustle, but could still walk if you chose to do so.
We cant say there was anything we didn't like...Only thing missing was a coffee pot.
I was a little confused with why we were charged different rates for different nights in the same week. The first room we had had very hard beds, but the second night the beds were fine.
The lobby was really interesting with all the stuffed animals, and the bar was really good with its live band and great atmosphere, the rooms were simple but nice and clean and the pool area was small but again clean and well kept.
It took about 10-15 minutes walk into the centre but taxis were about
Beds were very comfortable
No breakfast included despite the expensive price of the room
The staff was courteous and helpful. The bathrooms were newly renovated.
This was just a place to sleep for us for two nights as we explored the Parks. We stayed in Room 12 which, unfortunately, was right next to the mechanical shed on one side and the maintenance room on the other. We heard equipment noise all night long including a high pitched whine that sounded like someone's alarm clock going off continuously. The worker's started early and their voices drifted right in to our room. I had to sleep with ear plugs to drown out all the noise. The towels were a little thin and worn. The beds were a bit too firm. Vacuuming had occurred only in the middle of the room, but not around the edges where dust and debris was visible. There were no hair dryers provided in the bathroom.
i like the friendly staff. Our kids really enjoyed the pool. Our room had a cabin feel and that's cool.
For the amount of money we spent, the room seemed a bit too dingy. The bathroom toilet needed some repair as it was partly detached from the bottom floor.
For the money this hotel needs to update, the 13inch tv is hard to watch and the rooms are very outdated.
The hotel was clean, well located and decorated with antique furniture that created a great ambience. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and they went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The cookies and tea in the lobby late afternoon were a nice surprise for this small inn.
Can't think of a "like best" - overall a poor value, in nerd of refurb motel.
Noise from room above, bad pillows, no coffee making
The Virginian Lodge is all it takes to get a true feel of the Wild Wild West. The location is surrounded by beautiful mountains with snow-capped peaks and is yet close enough to town especially if you're taking the Start Bus which is free and merely a block away. If you're looking for a quiet get-away, spiritual retreat, nature walks, the best breakfast in town, or party time at the Virginian Saloon, this is the one place in Jackson Hole to come. There's a welcoming and friendly hospitality of the staff... this place has it all! Oh, and don't forget to go to a rodeo, also within walking distance of the Virginian Lodge.
